(Feb) Lighthouse League Season 1: Fortnite

The Lighthouse League: Season 1 presented by Paradigm is a 4-month circuit of tournaments hosted at the Paradigm VR and Esports center in downtown Davenport, Iowa. The Lighthouse League is the first major esports circuit to be held in the Quad Cities. Season 1 of The Lighthouse League runs for 4 months (January-April) and will feature 3 games fixed on separate Saturdays throughout the month.

Acceptance of Rulesets:
Each Participant must agree to all rules linked in this document to participate in the Lighthouse League presented by Paradigm. You may accept these Official Rules by registering to participate in any tournament or participating in any match that is part of the Lighthouse League presented by Paradigm.

Each player/team is awarded points based on individual games won within a set. Names of teams must remain consistent throughout the tournament series (league). A running total of everyone scores in their games will be kept in an online spreadsheet. Discord members can access the leaderboard by typing (TBA) in chat. Competitors will be seeded based on their scores and those with the highest scores are considered the best in the league!

Week 3: Fortnite (Duos Squads)
The third event of the Lighthouse League is duos squads Fortnite. Brackets will cap at 32 teams.

Each tournament is $20 to enter; $10 venue fee and $10 for the prize pool.

Check-in is from 10 AM – 11:30 AM

Participants in the League are awarded points varied upon which circuit of games they are competing in. Cash prizes are awarded at each individual tournament as a percentage of the prize-pool as outlined in the Paradigm Esports Rules. The winner at each tournament (or MVP for Overwatch) is granted free entry for their game for the remainder of the league. At the end of the Following the end of the Lighthouse League, Paradigm will look to potentially sponsor players/teams from each game to represent the Paradigm brand at future events.

The term “friendlies” originates in the Fighting Games Community and is a term for any non-tournament no-money matches played for fun. Friendlies are strictly prohibited in the Fighting Bees Arena while an event is in session. Following the end of any Lighthouse League tournaments, friendlies are strongly encouraged and any contestant may participate in friendlies until Paradigm closes for the day.

As outlined in the Paradigm Esports Rules, any player/team disqualified from a tournament will lose any points/placement gained in the tournament and will not be refunded their entry fee

The Final Month:
Everything leads up to the final month. Competitors will be seeded based on their placements on the previous tournaments. Paradigm will be inviting big names in esports to the Fighting Bees Arena to compete and for the community to network. Paradigm will announce the names of those coming intermittently throughout the league. The winners of the previous tournaments will be announced at the beginning of the day.
